Hi Members, Families and Friends,

Here is a Great News! New Jersey Association of the Deaf will have its 20th Biennial State Conference this summer at the New Jersey School for the Deaf – Katzenbach Campus in West Trenton, NJ. The Big Day will be on Saturday, July 28, 2007. This conference is for everyone in the Deaf Community, their families, friends and services providers. Mark it on your calendar. This is not to be missed.

The conference theme is: “Deaf Diversity: Moving Forward”. The goal of the conference is to bring Deaf people from all walks of life together in one place. There are many different groups of Deaf people in the Deaf Community. Everyone finds a place in the Deaf Community where he/she feels good about him/herself. NJAD welcomes everyone from all groups and places to get together for networking and resources in this conference.

This is “All-in-One Stop” conference. There will be a series of open seminars and wide array exhibitions of community services providers, advocacy service resources, businesses and companies, technology assistances, and networking resources being available to the patrons. All these vendors, services and resources have established relationship with the Deaf community. There will be BBQ luncheon. NJAD will have its General Meeting and Election for the new officers in the afternoon. The NJAD conference committee members work hard to make this conference for you and friends.

The most exciting part of the conference is Miss Deaf New Jersey Pageant in the evening. Come to the evening reception to say farewell to Raymonda Azrelyant, Miss Deaf NJ 2005-2007, meet the new officers of NJAD and the awards recipients. Then enjoy watching the pageant.
